Types of Spare Keys We Can Provide

Standard Transponder Keys

Traditional bladed ignition keys that contain a security chip inside the key.
These keys allow the vehicle to start but usually do not include remote locking buttons.

Remote Fob Keys

Keys that include lock and unlock buttons integrated into the key or provided as a separate remote fob.

Proximity / Smart Keys (Selected Vehicles)

Key Supply & Programming Process

To supply a spare key we normally require the vehicle key code.

In many cases customers already have this information. If the key code is not available it may need to be obtained from a main dealer or manufacturer database. Some vehicles may also require a security PIN code for programming.

If a PIN code needs to be obtained from the manufacturer or main dealer, this is usually a simple process and the cost is typically very inexpensive. Any small fees charged by the manufacturer or dealer for retrieving the code would need to be covered by the customer.

Once the required information is available:

1. A key is ordered using the correct key code, meaning it arrives pre-cut for your vehicle.

2. The key is supplied ready to use in the ignition.

3. We then program the key to your vehicle’s immobiliser system so it will start the car.
